Joe Regan

The latest from a long-lineage of great players from So California, Joe Regan has burst onto the bowls scene with the flash of Jagger and the smooth of Chardonnay.  In only his 3rd year of bowls, Joe has proven to be one of the top leads in the division and is an asset to any top team.

He earns a successful living by way of the fashion, style and photography field and tunes up his bowling multiple times per week at the nearby Newport Harbor Lawn Bowls Club.  Already a member of the recently named 2009 Team Southwest and winner of the esteemed 2009 SW Open Triples,  Joe also captured 2nd in the 3rd Flight Pairs at the recent U.S. Open.

The Hong Kong event will be Joe’s first representation for the USA and will continue this Sept when the top-squad will battle Canada in the biennial North American Challenge.

Other hobbies of Joe’s include enjoying saki with music and friends and surfing in Hawaii a couple of times a year.

These are the top USA players.

There are thousands of other bowlers in the USA who will never win a medal but still enjoy and compete in the sport on a local level every day.

And, of course, being lawn bowlers, these men often compete on the same team as the women.
